Only a short one today... nothing really much to write about except that we went to Lehigh Valley Shopping Center... probably had some of the madest shops around! As soon as we walked in Abercrombie and Fitch stared us in the face. I swear we were in there for around 1hr! Finally found a shop where most of the clothes fit me. YAY! So bought a few things (like awesomely cool moose shorts lol)from there and then cruised the rest of the shops. Found Victoria's Secret (its like Peter Alexandre but on steroids...) and bought a few things from there as well! And they had Build-A-Bear! a cool shop where you can make your own bears lol.. pretty sweet!
Well we were at the shops for about 4hrs... so that took up most of the day! Then we stopped off at the icecream factory on the way home (like the one in tassie) and had a choc chip vanilla milkshake with marshmellow sauce... hmmm... yummmy... was probably one of the tastiest things i'll ever eat!
Then we had to come home cause the boys were meeting us for a 30km ride to clear out the legs.
Rick also had a chat to us about racing and what his impressions of us at the race was. He said that he thinks i lack confidence when i ride, that i don't trust my ability and that i'm stronger than i think i am. MaryAnn tells me this all the time but shes my coach, shes meant to say it.. i guess if enough people (especially ones with a 'high power' so to say) tell you your no good at something and that you will not succeed, you tend to believe them...and i think that's what i've done. but it was good to hear that from an 'outsider' so to say. This trip has definitely served as an eye opener for me. I trust my ability as a bike rider a lot more and enter races with confidence that i have never had before.
Tomorrow we have a long ride in the morning followed by track in the arv. should be fun. think i might also get my radars!
xo
