What's in the box? Miff's in the box...

Today, after our epic day in NY yesterday, i woke up feeling absolutely smashed. Got back at around 11 and then went straight to bed. Did not pass go. My malfunctioning body clock then felt the need to wake me up at 7:00am which didn't help me at all...So i got up, chowed down some brekkie, updated the blog and checked my emails then obviously fell asleep because i woke up 30min later splayed across my laptop lol. it was around 9:30 when the rest of the team woke up and we realised that we were meant to be at the track at 8:45am to get a photo for the newspaper company...bugger. We rung Rick and the boys who were all still asleep and who had forgotten about it also. We rung up the photographer to apologise and rescheduled for when we were going to be at the crit later that night. So the rest of the day we spent doing very little...cruised around to the shops to get some supplies (ye good old dollar shop) and had some lunch, jumped on the rollers for about 30min to try and salavage what was left of my legs and boys came around and watched their dodgy copy of 'Harold and Kumar's escape from Guantanamo Bay'... it cost them 3 dollars from Chinatown and you can see why.. its a pirated copy and you can see someone's head in the bottom left hand corner and hear people laughing thoughout it lol..and did i mention that about 5min into it it cuts to 3/4 of the way though? ha ha. So yeh, pretty lazy afternoon... left for the crit at about 4:30 so we wouldn't miss the photographer again and then had the crit which started at 6:00. I was racing open with the boys just to get some better racing experience... my goal was just to last half way in the 30 lap crit...was majorly boxed! there were a few times where i was like 'nah, thats it, i'm gone..' but my stubborn self wouldn't let me pull out.. so i got to 3 laps to go to find myself still up there... and eventually finished with the group. The crit itself reminded me a lot of Bay Crits actually.. hard and fast. We did 48km in about 1hr10.. not too shabby, especially since i wasn't actually meant to race tonight.. but i wanted to give it a crack.. now i have 4 days of racing in a row.. prob not the best idea in the world but hey...

So that was my day. nothing very eventful happened but we crossed another day off the calendar.

OH. wait. i just remembered... Sam came across this site www.peteranswers.com and its insanely freaky... you type in a question and it knows the answer. no joke. like he typed in 'what bike does miff ride' and it responded 'fuji ridden by oenone wood' and 'what is audrey doing?' and it said 'scratching her head'...creepy... and it only works for Sam.. no one else... he found out who the boys will marry and if they will go to the olympics/worlds... it scared the hell outta me!

so yeh, guess something interesting did happen today

take care
xo
